Principal Ingredients
Trikatu (Shunti, Marica, Pippali), Triphala (Amlaki, Haritaki, Bibhitaka), Musta (Cyperus rotundus), Vida Lavana, Danti (Baliospermum montanum), Trivrit (Operculina turpethum), Ela (Cardamom), Twak (Cinnamon), Tejapatra, Sharkara (sugar base)
Classical Indications
Amlapitta (hyperacidity, acid reflux, GERD), Ajirna (indigestion, dyspepsia), Vibandha (constipation), Udararoga (abdominal disorders including Gulma and Anaha), Pittaja Vyadhi (Pitta-predominant systemic disorders), Arsha (haemorrhoids with Pitta predominance). Traditionally considered the foremost Pitta-shamaka Choorna for gastrointestinal Pitta disorders
Dose
3–6 g once or twice daily, preferably before meals, or as directed.
Anupana
Cold water or Madhu (honey) after meals for Amlapitta. Warm water for Vibandha and Udararoga. As directed by physician.
Safety & Precautions
- Contains Trivrit — a potent laxative herb. Do not exceed recommended dose without supervision.
- Avoid in Vata-predominant constipation without concomitant Snehana. Use with caution in pregnancy.
- Use as directed by the prescribing physician. Keep out of reach of children.
Storage
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place. Protect from moisture and strong odours.
