The Ayurveda Kansa Vatki is a traditional Kansa bronze bowl tool used in Ayurvedic massage practice. The Vatki (bowl) form is one of the classical Kansa tool shapes used in Kerala and pan-Indian Ayurvedic body therapy traditions, designed for foot massage (Padabhyanga), body massage, and Marma point stimulation during Panchakarma and wellness treatments.
Benefits of Kansa
Kansa (a traditional bronze alloy of copper and tin) is described in Ayurveda as having a natural affinity with the body’s energy channels, supporting balance across all three Doshas. Kansa Padabhyanga (foot massage with a Kansa bowl) is a well-established Ayurvedic practice traditionally used to draw excess Pitta downward, support restful sleep, and calm the nervous system.
How to Use
Apply a small amount of warm ghee or Ayurvedic foot oil to the sole of the foot. Using the bowl of the Vatki, massage in circular and linear strokes across the entire sole, heel, and toes for 10–15 minutes per foot. Can also be used for body massage with oil. Wipe clean after use.
For external use only. Not a medical device.
